Carved Mastodon Ivory Corn Maiden Necklace by Sandra Quandelacy

This amazing necklace, by Sandra Quandelacy, was made using primarily brown pin shell beads to compliment the fossilized mastodon ivory. The ivory has been carved on both sides into Zuni corn maidens, making this necklace reversible! The earrings have also been carved on both sides. The necklace measures 28" long and is finished with silver cone beads and a 2" extender.

Sandra Quandelacy is noted for her beautiful Zuni fetish Corn Maiden carvings… both as table fetishes and
necklaces.  Sandra and her sister Faye Quandelacy’s  Zuni Corn Maiden carvings are collected world wide.
It was they that created this often copied Corn Maiden design. Sandra is the daughter of Ellen Quandelacy.
