Anna Jefferson has associate degrees in American History and Liberal Arts. She received a bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from RSU. Her Native heritage includes Osage, Pawnee, and Sac and Fox. She was born and raised in Osage County, Oklahoma.

On 15 July 1870, an appropriation act by the United States provided for the removal of the Osage people to Indian Territory.

The intent of this account about one of Pawhuska's oldest structures is to go beyond the general knowledge of the house. The blacksmith house is on the National Register of Historic Places and aided in shaping Osage history and the community of Pawhuska.

While Traveling the Osage, enjoy its many attractions, stories and history.
