This colorful beaded necklace is an assortment of hand-cut beads from a variety of stones and turquoise separated by pin shell beads. The top strand is 18" and the bottom strand measures at 26". The different strand sizes creates a layered look while only needing one clasp. 

Jolene learned the traditional methods of Kewa (Santo Domingo) jewelry-making from her grandfather over 20 years ago and further refined her technique at the Poeh Center. She selects only the finest raw materials and cuts, carves, and shapes each separate element to create her bold pieces. She makes all of her own beads and heishi from stone or shells.
